BAR OLYMPICS - October 3rd

WHAT IS BAR OLYMPICS?

Many of you have seen the “save the date flyers” for October 3rd for my upcoming “Bar

Olympics” event and have been asking questions. I would like to clear the air to give

you all a better understanding of my event. The idea behind it came from all of the

friendly competition I have observed here over the years with all of you talented patrons!

Whether it was corn hole, pool, or hearing about golf outings or pickleball matches, the

common denominator has always been having fun while competing! This is the concept

of Bar Olympics and why I have chosen to make it my event here at our Elk’s Lodge.

I am using the ENTIRE building for this event to include a little something for everyone!

Upstairs will be staged with a miniature golf course (13 holes) that anyone can play to

include clubs and balls. There will also be a virtual driving range simulator (Swing Lab)

so we can finally put to rest who has the longest drive! Clubs will be provided but if your

excuse for losing will be “well I would have done better with my driver”…….I already

asked and the answer is YES, you can bring that baby with you!!!! There will also be a

cash beer bar upstairs to save you steps while playing and food trucks out front so you

don’t get “hangry.”

Downstairs games in the ladies’ lounge to include Ping Pong / Table Tennis, Chip pong,

and the new ESPN craze, “POP DARTS”…….google it if you don’t know but let me just

forewarn you it is way harder than it looks!!

The remainder of the planned games throughout the downstairs will be Pool, Darts,

Corn Hole, and Giant Beer Pong. I am having a “professional arm wrestling” set up

being taken on by a member so that somebody can finally beat Kent! (yes sir I am

calling you out so you better be here to defend your title) I am also hoping to have Mario

Carts on the big screen (video game racing).

All in all, it is my hope that everyone will come out for a day of friendly competition and

have fun! If you have made it this far in my ramblings, I thank you! Tickets for the day

are only $20 per person and include all inclusive play and discounted drink specials.

The doors will open at 3pm on Saturday October 3rd so please save the date now so not

to miss out!
